Water My Soul

A Sacred Prayer for Restoration, Wholeness, and Renewal

God of Light, Love, and Life
I come to this sacred Healing Brook not only to release,
but to remember who I truly am.

Let this be holy ground, for the weary and the willing
where brokenness is not a burden, but a beginning.

May the unseen rise without fear.
May the unheard be honored.
May the unhealed be held, not in judgment, but in the warm waters of mercy.

Flow through me with your eternal wisdom.
Let these healing waters reach the places
I’ve hidden, silenced, or forgotten.
Let them sing to the silence.
Let them breathe life into what I thought was lost.

Realign me to your rhythm to sacred timing,
to the unseen thread of divine order,
to the harmony that lives beneath all chaos.

Here, I surrender what no longer serves.
I clear space for what truly heals.
And I open fully, quietly, courageously, to what is next.

Let this space show me myself and be my mirror,
reflecting the truth that even in stillness, I am moving.
That even in the ache, I am becoming.
That even in the unknown, I am held.

May each step of this unfolding, be drenched in grace,
infused with light, and guided by love.

I trust. I receive. I release.
I remember. I return.

Amen.
Ashe.
And so it is.

Guided Questions & Prompts. Grounded Answers & Revelations.

Welcome to the soul’s sacred space of clarity, courage, and deep inner knowing. Here, healing isn’t rushed, it’s revealed. This is where we sit with the hard questions, honor the unspoken, and allow divine wisdom to rise from the waters of your becoming. Each question or prompt you’ll find here was placed with intention, offered as a gentle invitation inward. Each answer is a reflection poured through prayer, presence, and lived truth.

This is more than a FAQ page, It’s a mirror. A balm. A soft landing for your soul. These are the whispers your heart has been carrying. And these… are the grounded, grace-soaked revelations that await.

1. BEGINNING

Where do I even begin when everything inside me feels broken? Grounded Answer & Revelation: *Begin where the ache is. You don’t have to fix it all at once. Just honor the place that’s whispering the loudest. Healing doesn’t start with solutions, it starts with presence. Your willingness to notice the broken is already a beginning. And the Brook will meet you right there.

4. MASK

Write a letter to the version of you that had to pretend everything was fine. Grounded Answer & Revelation: *Let them know you see them now. Let them cry. Let them exhale. And let them know they don't have to carry the mask anymore. This letter is a bridge, one they can walk across to meet the real you.

7. EVOLUTION

What if I’ve outgrown people I still love? Grounded Answer & Revelation: *Then you love them in new ways. You release the role, not the reverence. Some connections don’t end, they evolve. And sometimes, the most sacred thing you can do… is love someone without requiring them to grow with you.

10. RESILIENCE

List all the things you’ve survived that you never gave yourself credit for. Grounded Answer & Revelation: *Read that list out loud. That’s your reminder: you are not weak, you are weathered and wise. Give yourself your flowers now. You didn’t just survive… you carried divine grace through a storm. That’s not survival. That’s sacred.

2. VOICE

Name the moment you stopped trusting your voice. What happened? Grounded Answer & Revelation: *That moment deserves sacred reflection, not shame. Trace it with tenderness, not judgment. And then remind yourself: your voice didn’t die, it just got quiet. This is your permission slip to call it back.

5. AWARENESS

How do I know if I’m actually healing, or just distracting myself?” Grounded Answer & Revelation: *Healing creates discomfort. Distraction creates delay. If you feel raw, vulnerable, tender, that’s healing. If you feel numb, busy, or avoidant, that’s survival mode. Be gentle either way. Both are part of the journey. But choose presence over productivity when your soul is asking to be heard.

8. SAFETY

Describe what safety feels like to your nervous system. Grounded Answer & Revelation: *Not what sounds good. Not what looks good. But what feels like rest. This is where you begin designing a life you can breathe in. Let safety be your new compass, not fear, not obligation, not performance. If your body says “ahhh,” you’re home.

11. ROOTWORK

What are your top five emotional triggers, and what do they reveal about you?” Grounded Answer & Revelation: *Your triggers are not flaws, they’re flashlights. Each one is pointing toward a place within you that still seeks understanding, softness, or safety. List them without judgment. Then gently ask: What story is this reaction rooted in? What part of me is asking to be protected, acknowledged, or healed? Triggers don’t mean you're broken. They mean your heart remembers. Now… it’s time to respond with wisdom instead of reflex.

3. UNRAVELING

Why does healing sometimes make me feel worse before I feel better? Grounded Answer & Revelation: *Because you’re touching what you once numbed. You’re waking parts of yourself that went silent to survive. This isn’t regression, it’s revelation. You’re clearing the debris to make room for truth. Let it rise. It’s the detox before the deep peace.

6. PATTERNS

Name the wound that keeps showing up in your relationships. Grounded Answer & Revelation: *Patterns are messengers. They don’t punish, you do that to yourself. They reveal where love wants to reintroduce itself. What keeps repeating is trying to teach you. Listen before you fix. Witness before you react. That’s how you break cycles without breaking yourself.

9. STILLNESS

Why do I still feel stuck even after doing so much inner work? Grounded Answer & Revelation: *Because healing isn’t about volume, it’s about resonance. Sometimes, the shift isn’t in doing more, it’s in trusting deeper. You may be at the edge of your next becoming, not a setback. Stillness doesn’t mean stuck. It might just mean sacred pause.

12. PERSPECTIVE

Who or what are you blaming for your current situation? And what might shift if you viewed it differently? Grounded Answer & Revelation: *Blame feels like power, but it often leaves us bound. Ask yourself: Is this blame protecting me from truth? From grief? From accountability? Sometimes, we hold on to blame because it feels easier than facing the weight of disappointment, betrayal, or regret. But what if the story you’re telling isn’t the only one that’s true? Exploring a new perspective isn’t about letting others off the hook, it’s about setting yourself free.

"I didn’t come to Yahminah expecting to heal. I just wanted clarity. As a former priest, I thought I had already done the work. Turns out, I’d only scratched the surface. The Healing Brook helped me face what I didn’t want to see, guilt, shame, grief buried under years of ‘being strong.’ It wasn’t easy. I resisted. But now, at 68, I feel lighter than I did at 38. I left the pulpit, moved to Brazil, and found peace I never knew I needed. Yahminah didn’t just walk me through it—she waited with me. I’ll never forget that."
